John Cotorceanu
John Cotorceanu
John is responsible for managing the overall business strategy, development and commercial interests of the Company. Prior to founding Excel in 2001, John was a Chartered Architect in NSW with skills readily transferable to the Building and Facilities Management industry.
Hands-on experience managing a number of sites of varying scale and complexity along the journey has enabled John in depth understanding of the industry from the ground up. Passionate, loyal and dedicated, John leads by example by adopting a consultative, inclusive and collaborative style of leadership.
John has completed a Bachelor Of Architecture and Bachelor of Building Science.
Craig Arrand
Craig Arrand
Craig worked initially as a Senior Facility Manager on a very large site for Excel before working across several our locations. Having previously worked in both the building and technology industries in Project Management and in Directorship roles. Craig brings to the team an in-depth and practical approach to resolving a vast array of complex issues.
Craig also possesses extensive experience in tender reviews, front line operational and risk management, ISO Quality Assurance Systems Auditing, contractor and consultant management and WHS compliance.
Craig has completed the Building and Construction Certificate (HIA) Carpentry Certificate (Trade Qualification) Master Builders Association and Project Management studies with AIM.
Rod Colman
Rod Colman
Rod comes to Excel with 24 years of working in building and facilities management and extensive experience managing large residential and commercial portfolios.
Rod’s previous roles include Senior Building Manager of Meriton Apartments, Senior Facilities Manager of Cambridge Management Services (part of the Bright and Dugan Group) and Director of Facilities Management at Karbon Property. Rod was the commissioning Senior Building Manager for Meriton Apartment projects such as the prestigious World Tower, 74 level tower comprising 638 high-end residential and serviced apartments plus an 88-lot retail component and the billion-dollar, multi-staged Brighton on Broadwater project located on the Gold Coast. Rod’s role with Cambridge Management Services saw Rod manage 34 Bodies corporate in the luxury Hope Island Resort – an integrated resort development located at the northern end of the Gold Coast.
Rod had recently worked as Director of Facilities Management – managing several Grade A commercial office blocks within the Sydney CBD and its fringes.
Azaz Hussain
Azaz Hussain
Azaz brings hands-on experience previously as a Building Manager from a prestigious Excel site to his current role as Operations Manager. He effectively handles Monthly Building Managers Reports, Works-In-Progress (WIPs), and relief scheduling.
With a background in interstate law enforcement, Azaz uses his expertise in crisis management and emergency response to help handle complex situations within Excel Building Management.
His diverse skill set and commitment make him a key asset to the team, contributing to both operations excellence and resident satisfaction.
Gabriela Melo
Gabriela Melo
Gabriela Melo is an experienced manager, who has occupied a number of team leadership roles in both the hospitality and more recently in the cleaning industry. This experience gained when she joined our sister company Tru Brite Cleaning in 2017.
Gabriela manages Excel’s Human Resources functions with considerable energy and is eager to ensure team members complete their regular staff training attendances.
Gabriella has completed a Graduate Diploma in Management and Masters Degree in Project Management and Business.
Filgy Vijoy

Filgy is a seasoned Human Resources Coordinator with a Master of Business Administration in HR and Marketing, she is accomplished at overseeing HR operations and administration, including handling HR inquiries, organising payroll, and maintaining Leave Management Systems (LMS).
With her expertise in the hiring process, she not only excels in recruitment but also ensures seamless onboarding experience for new employees,

Gen Ulanday
Gen Ulanday
With 6 years of experience as a Head Concierge, Gen has honed a meticulous eye for detail, ensuring the highest standards for service.
As a versatile freelance designer, she has a comprehensive portfolio that showcases website design, branding and print collateral. She is passionate about design, her main focus is to create engaging websites and innovative design.
Gen has completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design.
